Welcome to Longney Church of England Primary Academy
Longney C of E Primary Academy is part of the Diocese of Gloucester Academy Trust. We are a small village school in the beautiful setting of Longney on the edge of Quedgeley and Hardwicke, nestled in the banks of the River Severn. As you can see from the photograph above, we have a huge amount of outdoor space for the children to enjoy together daily and make the most of being in the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside.
Our vision at Longney is 'Building Community, Enriching Lives' and we work tirelessly every day to ensure our children feel part of a strong community both within their classrooms, across the whole school and beyond in to the wider community here in our beautiful setting. We work closely with families and our small size allows us to get to know everybody, children and families so that we can ensure your child has the support and care that they need to thrive in school and achieve to their full potential.
We believe that education of the whole child is essential and provide a full curriculum which places emphasis on all areas of learning to ensure children become lifelong learners who are curious about the world. We want to try out lots of opportunities whilst safe in our care so that they can find what makes them tick and brings them joy, whilst gaining the self-esteem and confidence to give everything in life a try!
Please browse our website to find out more about us. Have a look at our Gallery page to see what we have been up to recently. In recent years, we moved into our new building with three new classrooms and a refurbished outdoor area for our Early Years pupils. Follow this link to see photos: Our new building
