Welcome to Longney Church of England Primary Academy
Welcome to our website. We hope you will enjoy exploring the site and finding out about our academy.
Longney C of E Primary Academy is a rural village school where we believe very strongly in community both within our school and beyond. Through this, we aim to encourage our pupils to develop a strong sense of identity and responsibility. Christian Values are at the heart of school life and we have strong links with our parish church, St Laurence. Longney Church of England Primary Academy is part of the Diocese of Gloucester Academies Trust.
Staff and Governors work hard to ensure pupils experience a positive, caring environment throughout their time at Longney. High expectations both in achievement and behaviour are maintained in order that each child reaches their potential. We believe that education of the whole child is essential and endeavour to provide a wide range of activities that enrich learning and give experience of the wider world. Sport and music play a prominent role in our school and allow pupils to gain confidence and self-discipline in a range of situations.
Please browse our website. Have a look at our News page to see what we have been up to recently. In May this year we moved into our new building with three new classrooms and a refurbished outdoor area for our Early Years pupils. Follow this link to see photos: Our new building
